I love fairs...I went to the OC Fair on Sunday and spotted these two beauties:

 This little piggy had a heart on its hind quarter!

This one looks like a little piece of fried dough...

Throwback Thursday - Sisters In Survival

This week's Throwback Thursday selection was my second published piece. Sisters in Survival was my submission to the call for work with the theme of "sisters" for the July/August 2009 issue of Somerset Studios Magazine. This piece was my tribute to my Sister as well as so many other women who helped me during my treatment and continue to help me thrive as a breast cancer survivor.

Throwback Thursday - Market Place

A few years ago I set a goal for myself. I wanted my artwork to be published. I started producing work to submit for the various "calls for submissions". The second piece that I submitted was selected for the July/August 2008 issue of Somerset Studios. The theme was "Provence". This was my hand torn paper/ acrylic paint submission of a French Market Place.

 This is a fountain at my work. After I took the photo, I noticed the spray is creating a heart as it hits the pool of water.

Today's Throwback Thursday artwork is Crazy Bug. Crazy Bug is a 5" x 7" mixed media collage.

This was one of the first pieces that I created while healing from my Breast Cancer treatment and started the re-discovery of my love for collage.

I heArt Fridays... Crystal Cove Beach Hearts

I found these two hearts sitting close together on the sand at Crystal Cove... one of my favorite beach spots in Southern California.

   When I was looking through the shots I took yesterday I noticed the way the ocean spray is hitting this rock created a heart. I love when that happens.
